Plant Native
2% of the entire United States is covered in lawn grass. And in a world with increasing waste and consumption, my goal is to change how we view landscapes. Lawns are not beneficial for the environment or native area. They waste water, resources, and your time in a constant loop of growing and cutting.

Native landscapes restore biodiversity with perennials, pollinators, grasses, and organic matter in the soil that are absent in lawns. They create healthier soil and new habitats for birds, bees, bunnies, insects, and other local wildlife, bringing back their natural home.

Your lawn isn’t used when you’re at work or busy; that’s what parks are for. While you might want to use your lawn for your dog or recreation, nothing beats walking to a park. Your dog has more space to roam, you get exercise, and you can meet neighbors and community members. A park is for recreation; a lawn is an outdated symbol of wealth.
